Why Insure Jewellery via T H March

Simple, we are experts in this type of insurance. You may have cover for jewellery under your existing home insurance but does it provide the cover you think (or hope) it does?

To illustrate this point here are a few problems arising under unsuitable home insurances which can be solved by T H March.

No cover away from your home.	The minimum territorial limits offered cover you anywhere in the UK and Europe plus 30 days Worldwide with options to extend this to full Worldwide cover. You can also restrict cover, for example whilst in a Bank only and tailor covers to reflect your unique needs.
Restrictions on the total of jewellery covered or the amount for any one item.	Cover is available on any items of jewellery subject to suitable security.
Theft cover from your home may only apply following forced entry. Accidental loss may not be included.	No theft restriction unless stated. Accidental damage and accidental loss covers are standard.
You typically have to pay the first £50 or £100 of any loss (the excess).	No excess on jewellery under March Plus and Homecover and £100 under Homecover Elite.
You may be forced to replace lost jewellery via a source chosen by your insurer and not the jeweller you want to use.	You will usually be able to replace your jewellery through the jeweller who introduced you to T H March.
Limited details of jewellery when cover taken out can lead to replacement of lost or stolen jewellery with items of inferior quality.	Cover is on an agreed values basis which is based on your jeweller's valuation.

If you deal direct with an insurer, there is no-one to act on your behalf.	As insurance brokers, T H March's sole responsibility is to look after your interests.
