In the Pink!

Fundraising day: In the Pink to Support ‘Breast Cancer Now’

Staff in our offices turned up for work in all shades of pink on Friday Oct 18th to show support and raise funds for the work of the ‘Breast Cancer Now’ charity.

‘Wear it Pink Day’ is one of the biggest fundraising events in the UK with thousands of people ‘wearing it pink’ in their communities, schools and work places.

This year, 55,000 women will hear the words “its breast cancer” and around 11,500 women will die from it.

‘Breast Cancer Now’ is supporting around 450 of the world’s best researchers across the UK and Ireland who are working tirelessly to prevent breast cancer, stop deaths from the disease and improve the lives of those affected by it.

In April 2019, Breast Cancer Now merged with Breast Cancer Care to create the UK’s first comprehensive breast cancer charity. From research to care, the new charity has people affected by breast cancer at its very heart – providing support for today and hope for the future.

To find out more about the joining together of Breast Cancer Care and Breast Cancer Now, please go to the Breast Cancer Now website.

About wear it pink
Since the first event in 2002, over £33 million has been raised for vital research that will help to discover how to prevent breast cancer, how to detect it earlier and how to treat it effectively at every stage.
