Vacancy: Claims Handler

We are looking for an experienced Claims Handler to join our busy Claims Team in our Yelverton Office, near Plymouth. It is essential that the candidate applying for the position has previous Claims Handling experience.

The ideal candidate will have experience in and be able to:

  • deliver an efficient and effective Claims Service.
  • negotiate, settle and/or refer claims where necessary, promptly and equitably within delegated limits of authority.
  • refer all claims above delegated limits of authority either to a colleague with the appropriate authority or underwriters, together with personal assessments and recommendations.
  • act in accordance with the guidance given/delegated authority.
  • provide technical advice and deal with referrals.
  • demonstrate a high level of technical knowledge relevant to the job.
