Congratulations to our March Star Winners for February 2021

The March Star Award acknowledges and recognises staff for their hard work and those who go above and beyond to help out their colleagues, Line Managers and clients! They are nominated by staff for staff!

Jade McDermott, Claims Handler, National Service Centre

Jade joined THM in September 2015 as an Apprentice in the Personal Insurances Team. By September 2016 Jade had completed the Business Administration Apprenticeship and was offered a permanent position in TH March as a Personal Insurances Account Handler.

Jade then quickly completed the Certificate in Insurance qualification and in August 2018 transferred across into the Claims Team and she is now studying towards the Diploma in Insurance.

Jade loves being outside and spending time with family and friends whether that is going on walks or sitting in a beer garden (which we will hopefully be able to do again soon!) When the weather is not so nice she likes to curl up in front of the tv and watch a true crime documentary, or two!

Abi Chamberlain, Apprentice Administrative Assistant, National Service Centre

Abi joined THM in February 2020 and is studying towards an Apprenticeship in Customer Services. Abi has quite a unique and varied role in which she provides support for the Yelverton Reception Team, the IT Team and also the Personal Insurances Team too!

Abi enjoys long walks at weekends, beer gardens in the summer time and is looking forward to seeing her friends and family again when restrictions allow!

Here’s what some of her colleagues had to say:

• “Before the 2nd lockdown, Abi was helping in the PL team and was making good progress. Abi takes it all in her stride and has done really well so far. I am looking forward to when we are back in the office and we can carry on training as Abi was proving to be a valuable asset to us. Abi works in various roles within the office and always puts in 100% wherever needed.”
• “I would like to thank Abi for all her help with certain admin duties that I can’t do due to working from home. Abi has been most helpful and efficient in carrying out the admin matters that I have been sending her. Thank you Abi.”
• “Abi noticed something was missing from the post this week. This would have caused a major headache for our department so we are very grateful that she picked this up. Thank you Abi and well done!”
