On Friday 10 July, six colleagues from the TH March Plymouth office took on the St Luke’s Midnight Walk on behalf of St Luke’s Hospice Plymouth, raising vital funds for a charity that provides incredible support to local families.
Despite taking place in the middle of a heatwave, the team completed either the challenging 13.5-mile or 7.5-mile route, showing fantastic determination for a cause close to many of their hearts.
The team, all from our Plymouth Office, was formed of Jo Morgan, Emily Conybeare, Keziah Atkinson, Clare Short, Erin Sansom and Katie Foster – who have so far raised over £900, with a generous donor set to match sponsorship, bringing the total close to £2,000.
For many participants, the event held personal significance.
Emily Conybeare said: “On Friday, I walked 13.5 miles with colleagues from THM to raise money for St Luke’s Hospice, in support of every family affected. It was an enjoyable walk for a great cause, albeit slightly warm, but the sweets along the way definitely helped!”
Jo Morgan added: “I am proud to have completed the St Luke’s Hospice Plymouth Midnight Walk for such a worthy cause. This charity has supported so many families, including my own, which made every step even more meaningful. It was a fantastic night, with an amazing atmosphere and so many people coming together to make a difference. Thank you to everyone who took part, donated, and cheered us on!”
Keziah Atkinson reflected: “The walk was a challenge but knowing it was for St Luke’s kept me going. A tiring evening, but one I’m proud to have been part of.”
Clare Short shared: “Proud to have taken part in this in memory of my dad – tough in the heat at times but had a lovely chat all the way around.”
Erin Sansom said: “It was my first time completing the Midnight Walk. Doing the 13.5 miles was difficult, but it helps to know that you are completing it for a good cause.”
Congratulations to everyone involved on this fantastic achievement and for helping to make a real difference to St Luke’s Hospice Plymouth and the families they support.
