Last Friday, staff from the Plymouth office of TH March raised over £2000 when they proudly took part in the annual St Luke’s Midnight Walk, joining over a thousand participants in a vibrant show of community spirit and support for hospice care. The event, held on the evening of 11 July, saw walkers donning bright pink T-shirts and setting off from Home Park Stadium, the home of Plymouth Argyle FC, to walk through the city in memory of loved ones and in support of St Luke’s Hospice Plymouth.
St Luke’s Hospice Plymouth is an independent charity that provides compassionate, specialist care for people with progressive life-limiting illnesses across Plymouth, South West Devon, and East Cornwall. Their mission is to ensure that no one has to face the end of life alone, in pain, or distress. The hospice supports patients both at home and at its specialist unit in Turnchapel, offering dignity, comfort, and choice to those in need
The Midnight Walk is one of the charity’s flagship fundraising events, helping to raise vital funds to continue delivering care 365 days a year. In 2025, the walk attracted 1,125 participants, all united by a shared purpose: to honour memories and support a cause that touches countless lives
Participants had this to say about the event:
“On Friday, I walked 13.5 miles with colleagues from THM to raise money for St Lukes Hospice, in memory of those who we have loved and lost. It was an enjoyable walk which was for a great cause, although we were very warm by the time we finished (the sweets definitely helped!) 🍬🍭🩷” – Emily C
“There was a brilliant atmosphere, and it was lovely to see so many people coming together for a great cause! We had a lot of laughs (and only a few blisters) 🩷💗💕😊” – Keziah A
“My Dad died in May under the care of St Luke’s. They provide so much here in Devon and Cornwall and I’m glad THM support such a great cause. Very pleased we managed to raise over £2,000 for them” – Venetia H
“Really good atmosphere, was very impressed at how well organised it was and the support from everyone along the way. Was a really enjoyable event.” – Carina W
