Congratulations to our March Star Winners for March 2021

The March Star Award acknowledges and recognises staff for their hard work and those who go above and beyond to help out their colleagues, Line Managers and clients! They are nominated by staff for staff!

Alex Stobbie, Trainee Underwriting/Broking Technician, Broking Department, Head Office

Alex joined THM in November 2019 with previous Broking Assistant experience and is nearing completion of the Cert CII qualification!

Alex says that he is a football fanatic, shopaholic, and loves going out to nice restaurants and cocktail bars (when they’re open!)

Sonya Mehmi, Administrative Assistant, Birmingham Office

Sonya joined THM in June 2019 as an Apprentice studying towards the Business Admin Level 2 qualification. Sonya passed her Apprenticeship with flying colours and was offered permanent employment with THM. She is also now studying towards the Certificate in Insurance qualification!

Sonya loves baking, tea and shopping but doesn’t like tomato ketchup (what!?) insects or big crowds.

Here’s what some of her colleagues had to say:

• “Sonya has recently completed her apprenticeship whilst being on furlough initially and working through lock down. She is also selflessly manning the office half the week on alternate days to Georgia to ensure that the rest of the office has all the information they require whilst working from home. being in the office, mostly on her own, is not the most exciting of prospects however she is doing so voluntarily and with enthusiasm.”
• “I would like to nominate my colleagues in Birmingham for their willingness to help and much appreciated assistance with our processing during recent holidays. To single someone out would be unfair as I am unsure of everyone involved, They were brilliant throughout and it was very much appreciated by all of us in Manchester.”
