At TH March, we are delighted to celebrate Employee Ownership Day 2026 on Friday 19th June. Organised by the Employee Ownership Association (eoa), this year’s theme, #OwningIt, recognises the positive impact employee ownership has on businesses, employees, and communities.

Employee Ownership Day celebrates the collective contribution of colleagues across the business and highlights the benefits of working together towards common goals. We are proud to take part in this national celebration and to recognise the passion, collaboration, and sense of ownership that helps drive TH March forward every day.

With a heritage dating back to 1887 and a team of 133 colleagues across the UK, TH March is proud to be an employee-owned business. As the UK’s leading specialist broker for the jewellery and allied trades, also offering insurance for individuals personal valuables, collections, and high value homes, employee ownership helps reinforce our long-term commitment to clients, colleagues, and the specialist sectors we serve.

Simon Dawe, Managing Director, TH March, said:

“Employee Ownership Day is an opportunity to celebrate the collective contribution of our colleagues and recognise the unique benefits that employee ownership brings. At TH March, we are proud to take part in this national celebration and to acknowledge the passion, collaboration, and commitment demonstrated across the business every day. Our employee-owned structure helps foster a shared sense of purpose and ownership, which continues to drive our success and support the long-term future of the company.”

Jo Morgan, Regional Director – HR, TH March, said:

“Being an employee-owned business means that every team member, from our newest recruits to our longest-serving colleagues, has a voice and a stake in our success. It creates a culture where people feel connected to the business, empowered to contribute ideas, and committed to delivering the best outcomes for our clients and partners.

At TH March, we are committed to supporting our people both professionally and personally. Through initiatives such as our Mental Health First Aiders, Employee Assistance Programme, wellbeing activities, and our commitment as a Mindful Employer, we continue to invest in a positive and inclusive workplace. Employee Ownership Day is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the people who make our business what it is and the collaborative culture that drives our success.”

The continued growth of employee ownership across the UK highlights the strength of the model and its positive impact on businesses, employees, and the wider economy:

• The UK now boasts over ~2,500 employee owned businesses; with the EOA targeting 7,500 by 2030 as part of the UK Employee Ownership Growth Strategy

• UK employee owned businesses contribute over £32-£41 billion to the UK economy annually

• There are more than 310,000 employee owners across the UK

• The impacts EO can make on employee wellbeing, business performance, and economic growth are found to scale across every industry [Robust Growth champions report]. The model also has a great deal of potential in specific mission-critical sectors like Social Care [People Powered Care report].

• EO businesses are on average 8-12% more productive per employee

• Employee owners have higher levels of job satisfaction, feel a greater sense of achievement and job security, and are more likely to recommend their workplace than employees in non-employee owned businesses

Employee-owned businesses play an important role across the UK economy, including in insurance, risk management, financial services, healthcare, education, transport, manufacturing, retail, and professional services. At TH March, we are proud to be part of this growing movement, building a business where success is shared, every voice matters, and our people help shape the future of the company and the service we provide to clients.
