Every November we support our colleague Jean Keast (IT Department) in raising money and awareness for the charity Pancreatic Cancer Action.
November is the month when the charity Pancreatic Cancer Action and its supporters focus on raising awareness of the disease. The charity’s flagship ‘Turn it Purple’ campaign aims to raise consciousness in a fun way by encouraging people, places even landmarks all over the UK to ‘Turn it Purple’.
Jean is an official Devon Rep for the Pancreatic Cancer Action charity and has been since the loss of her brother, Paul, 5 years ago. In that time, Jean has raised a massive £16,000.
She arranges the hugely successful Tavifest in the summer and other events throughout the year. The ‘Turn it Purple’ campaign this year has seen the Town Hall in Tavistock and Smeatons Tower all turn purple in support of the charity.
