Staff at the Plymouth office spent their day at the St Luke’s Charity Shop in Western Approach, helping out with clothes-sorting for the hospice, preparing the preloved clothes that will go on to raise money towards the cause.
St Luke’s Hospice is an independent charity based in Plymouth that supports and cares towards people with serious illnesses. The services they provide extend out as far as South West Devon and East Cornwall, and currently cover 300 patients and their families. It costs over £11 million to run the facility, so understandably any help they receive is much appreciated.
With some of the TH March attendees having personal ties to the charity having had loved ones looked after by them in the past – this charity day was close to many people’s hearts, in fact one day wasn’t enough, the Plymouth office had two sets of people attend throughout September!

“I really enjoyed my ESV day at St Luke’s. We spent the day sorting through the clothes donations which was a real eye opener as to just how much is donated, but also the time that has to go into sorting through all the donations before being able to put them on the shop floor. It was lovely to spend a day out of the office with my colleagues and feel like we were really helping a charity which I personally hold so close to my heart.
I am already looking forward to another ESV day and I am very grateful to TH March for enabling this.”

St Lukes is very close to my heart and I felt a real sense of achievement by helping out with the donated clothing, really enjoyed it and would definitely like to do it again 😊”
